After passing out during a football game, Sir Rod Stewart's son Aiden was taken to the hospital with what was likely a heart attack.

The 77-year-old singer revealed his 11-year-old son fell while playing for the Young Hoops and turned blue and was unconscious before being taken away by ambulance.

Under-12s team, which turned out to be the result of a panic attack brought on by the pressure to succeed in the game.

Rod said to FourFourTwo magazine, "We believed my boy suffered a heart attack," without mentioning the precise time of the incident. Prior to his calming down, he was becoming blue and was unconscious

"It was frightening, but it was just a panic attack. The youngster, who wanted to succeed for his father, wore the hoops in Scotland.

"Another boy fell and hit his head; he hasn't come back yet. It was the only time I had ever called for two ambulances while watching football.

Dad-of-eight Alastair, 16, and Aiden, Rod's sons, were born to five different women, including his wife Penny, 51.
